Composite Decks

Dodson Decks is experienced in custom decks, pergolas & repairs. Composite decks offer a low-maintenance, durable, and versatile option for outdoor living spaces. Composite decking boards supplied by Trex are typically made from a blend of recycled wood fibers, plastic, and various additives. We also use Fortress Railings to add safety to your new deck while being visually beautiful. Available in metal, iron, steel, aluminum, and even custom wood. Want something more functional than just a railing? We can build benches or flower boxes in their place, in either wood or composite.

Pergulas & Covered Roofs

Pergolas are more than just outdoor structures; they’re archways to open-air enjoyment, adding both aesthetics and functionality to your backyard. Imagine a latticework roof bathed in dappled sunlight, casting gentle shadows on a comfortable seating area below. A place where you can enjoy your BBQ, no matter the weather thanks to the roof over your head.

Let Dodson Decks build you a versatile addition that can transform your outdoor space.

Testimonials

Eric Dodson of Dodson Decks is a wonderful contractor to work with. We had the BEST experience working with him to build our 1100 sq ft custom built deck. He offered advice and provided options for materials along with custom blueprints of what we wanted for our custom built deck to include the custom built pergola. He was a true professional from start to finish. We’ve worked with multiple contractors while remodeling our mid-century modern home and he was the absolute best! We LOVE our new deck! We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dodson Decks for anyone in the market for a new deck. Thank you Dodson Decks!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Eric just finished up our deck this past weekend and he did an amazing job.

This was a replacement deck job at our home. When we purchased our home, we knew the deck at our house was not build properly but we were able to live with it for several years until one end started to rot and fail.

We did some research on deck builders and came across Dodson Decks and liked what we saw and read for reviews and contacted Eric.

Eric was straight forward with what he could do and what possibly could be salvaged and what had to go. We did the demo and saved some money on labor but once we uncovered the joists and saw how bad it was, we ended up removing the entire deck and framing.

This actually was the best thing to happen so the whole deck is built properly and will last. Eric's words about using the old substructure were it was like "putting lipstick on a pig". He was so correct, and we are very glad the deck was built from the ground up, brand new and will last.

The results of the deck are spectacular, and we love it! We went with a bold clash in colors (light gray/blue for the main deck and dark black for the trim) and Eric was a little skeptical but, in the end, said he really liked it as well.

Eric was great to work with, down to earth, relatable, humorous, and just a solid person all around. It was always great to talk with him when he was at the house.

We would highly recommend him, but you better get on the list fast, he is pretty busy going from project to project.

Thank you for the fabulous deck, Eric, you did an amazing job!

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Eric did a wonderful job on our 1,000 sq. ft. redwood deck with pergola and matching fence. He was very professional in his presentation and discussed options that were price effective. He is a true craftsman in his work quality.

Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. My wife and I purchased our home in Sutherlin in 2019. Great house, great yard but one flaw. No outdoor living space or covered space to be out even in the rain. A friend recommended Dodson Decks and we called for an estimate. Eric took our basic ideas, expanded on them and created a wonderful outside partially covered deck that is beautiful and serves us year around. A five star quality built deck and cover that we absolutely love. Thanks Eric!
